The work on the island hole is being cancelled tomorrow due to a number of issue that have come up in the last 24 hrs. This will be rescheduled for another day where more helpers can show up and better planning can be done.

We will still meet at 9am to mow, weedeat, and spray the grass growing up in the exsisting mulch.

Went over to N Concho today and the trash is over flowing. I will be heading over there Monday after work @ 630 to get it picked up. I am only one person here and I am asking for help. If anyone can swing by and help me for 30 min I would appreciate it. We also need to mow again so I will post about a work day in the next few days. If you are off and have access to a mower please let me know.
Thanks Cookie

Thanks for doing this Cookie...we all(not just board members) need to pitch in when we see the trash is full. This is a CVDGA adopted spot and as long as you have your work papers filled out, please help out when you can....THANKS!!!

Sean and myself are setting a flag pole in Paint Rock today after work, if I get back early enough from that I'll swing by to see if you still need help.

Hola' everyone. I need to get out a few dates for workdays.
We have the West Texas Doubles tourney coming in September so please come out and help out If you can make it.   We are going to schedule a mow day for N. Concho on August 18.  We need a few hands for this please as a crew will need to scout out Pic Nic and Brentwood.  We are going to need to enlist the use of a few mowers if you can volunteer their services. Trash and the usual. Please bring all the tools you have.
Next Saturday would be open as well for the mowing of N. Concho if everyone would prefer that.
Just a reminder, you need to head by Cortese Flag and sign a waiver if you have not already.
Jason has secured new T Pads for Brentwood after a-lot of effort on his part and we would like to try to get them in place on the 25th.  The park is really looking nice lately and this will sure dress it up for the tourney.

Folks, I know it's hot but disk golf in San Angelo is awesome with all that is offered to play. This does not come cheap nor does it happen by it's self. If you play DG I am personally asking for your help to get this done.
Thanks Cookie, CVDGA

I am good for a work day on the 18th for N.C.

I think the pads for Brentwood will be in later this week. We are going to have to buy some decomposed granite(or find a donater), some 4x4s to raise the pads that are ground level, and some lag bolts to bolt the new 4x4s to the old ones. Might also need to rent a tamper?

So I figure since I can not really do much on these mow days, since I don't have a weedeater or riding mower: I'll start collecting rock to start the boarder of the island hole.

Do we know if Sean can go pick up any mulch on friday? I know Coby said someone texted him about the trailor. If we are getting mulch, we'll need to make sure Sean also brings the weed barrier the club bought a few months back.

Yes there are a few that are on the ground and a few that are broken and still hanging in the trees. I will bring a wheel barrel and rakes and shovels and a weedeater.

Really hate that I'm not going to be here for this work day. Can't wait to see the new pads!

Couple of tools you will need not listed: Sheetrock knives and extra blades, a calkbox to pop the cut lines, a couple of paddle bits(not sure what size the lagbolts are?), and really with as much drilling as you will be doing...14 holes per teebox on the ones you are raising you may need a generator and corded drill?

You will also need something to tamp the new chat with. Last time we rented a power tamper, but since we are only adding to that might not be nessasary?

Thanks to the ones that showed up for the work day which wound up being a worlk weekend. Donavan, Curt, Sarah, Coby, Sean, Pete, Gary, and especailly Jack without him and his tractor and tools this would have been alot more work. He also mowed Hole 2 at picnic. Be sure to thank these people, the CVDGA, and the city for these new tee pads at Brentwood. They do look AWESOME. If I do say so myself.

Just went by and looked at the pads...THEY LOOK AWSOME!!! Thanks to all the above for the hard work you all did over the weekend, it really shows that you took pride in what you were doing!

Everyone needs to be sure and thank these people in person or however you can for spending their weekend working so we could enjoy some new rubber to tee off from!!!

I talked with Whites Tree Service worker yesterday and asked them for the mulch. They said we could have has much as we need. So i had them dump a load of mulch but dumped it close to the middle. So feeling responsable for where it was dumped. I went out and moved and spread most of it. Next time i will make sure they sump it in the right spot.
