So I guess since no one wants to fill my position I'll be the membership director for another year. Though at this point after being on the board for 8 year straight I will be ready for a break after this year....so hopefully someone will ready by this time next year!
At this point we really need 1 person to step up and be the V.P. or Course Maintenance man(Cookie will fill the other spot) so we can operate on a full board.
Seems no one is willing to step up for Treasurer so I will fill that spot one last year.
Just want to put something out there. There are a couple of us that would like a break from being a board member and we keep emphasizing this yet no one wants to step up and help out the club. Some of us just want a break for a few years and can come back and help out at a later time, but please be informed that there are a few that are not willing to say one more year after 2013. We have held on in efforts to not see disc golf go away in San Angelo, but it is not fair that the same group of people keep having to do this year after year. If there is not a board then there will be a big change for disc golf in San Angelo. No board means no tournaments, no minis, courses will eventually fall apart because then no maintenance done on the courses, if a basket gets stolen then oh well because who is going to pay and replace it? Really something that our 70 plus members need to think about for the 2014 year. We will still be here to help where we can and answer questions as you go, but a few of our members really need to start considering running for a position for the 2014 year next year or there will not be a CVDGA. Disc Golf has come way too far here but you can't expect the same people to always be the ones doing the work. Just Food for Thought. So we have all but one spot covered for 2013, anyone willing to step up out of their comfort zone and help see disc golf continue on in San Angelo?
Well we finally had one brave soul step up to the plate to help keep Disc Golf going in San Angelo. Thanks to Denise for volunteering to run for the VP spot.
The annual member drive in Eola took us up to 21 members signed up so far this year. If you would like to join the club for 2013 you can either swing by Cortese Flag and get signed up there...or you can let me know you don't want to or you can't make it by here and I can bring the signup sheet to any mini I am attending.

Cost for this year's membership si $10 and as always gets you 10% off DG merch. purchased at Cortese, and the 2013 Membership Sticker. Money raised this year will go towards teeboxes at North Concho.
