Well as the title of this thread says the date for the West Texas Doubles has been announced. This year we will be backing it up a weekend from last and having it on Sept. 13th & 14th
So start pairing up now before the parnter you wanted is gone.
More info on the courses to be used, formats, and all the particulars will get ironed out at the next meeting in July. I'll be sure to post it as soon as I know something.
Can't wait for the W.T Doubles. Hopefully we set a record for attendance.
Got the W.T. Doubles listed on the LSDGA.com site. Gary(the guy that runs it) told me he was going to try and send more players from the DFW area this way. Maybe not for the Doubles, wasn't sure since it's not sanctioned, but for sure for the Crush. Guess we'll see what happens.

Last year it was done way different than the past years. Jeanne split the field, pro and adv. went to Picnic...while Ams and Nov. stayed at Brentwood for 18 holes. After lunch we swapped courses to play another 18. With Brentwood being tourney central. Then on Sunday we played 27 out at the lake.
I think she is going to do something like this again, but she has not told me anything for sure yet.
So after this last weekend at the Wild Hair it seems there might be several people interested in having a mixed doubles division to play in.
SO, it looks like we are going to have a mixed doubles divisions at West Texas Doubles this year. For those that might now know, mixed doubles is a guy and a girl team....anyone out there interested?? We tried to do this last year, but it fell through with not enough interest. So we will be asking for pre-registration(or at least your work) teams interested in this to sign up ahead of time. We have to have at least 3 teams to make the division happen...more would of course be better.
So far on just early response this is who sounds interested: Patty/Latosha Brandn/Katie Alan/Francis Jason/Jeanne Johnny/Belinda Richard/not sure her name(Neefe) from Big Spring Brad/can't remember her name right now either, Brad?
That's already 7....which would be great. There is also a couple from Lascruse(sp?) that was interested last year. Anyone else?
We have our first team signed up for this tourney. Gary and his wife(what is her name again Gary? sorry, I'm bad with names)....think he wanted to lock her in, so she couldn't back out :D

Told a lot of people about it this weekend up in Arlington, we'll see if any come this way for it.
Other teams I hear are paired up: Nick/Cody Sean/JR Thomas/? (didn't you tell me you had a partner Thomas?) JC/Bryan Brad/Jimi(or his wife not sure)
