i am going to try to keep this thread update with the new water disc i get in. all you have to do is let me know if you want your disc back and i will hold it for you. there is a disc retrieval fee that the swimmers charge b42. we do ask to get reimbursed, but we do this free of charge. i understand there is some negativity with this process, but there are a lot positives too.
1. Allows a lot people to get in to the sport at a very low cost 2. provides a means to have an opportunity to get a disc back that you could not find 3. people can trade in unwanted disc for a new one 4. it keeps your favorite disc out of the water. you can buy some junkie disc to throw on the risky water holes with out having fear. 5. provides extra income to those that want to spend their time and energy looking-swimming for disc. kind of creating jobs.
so your not buying your disc twice, you are paying some one to find it. if we where trying to steal the disc and take advantage of your loss, we would wipe the names off of them. the real negative part about losing disc is watching them go in the water and not being able to find them. it in not negative to have the opportunity to get them back. please try to refrain from looking at the negatives and look at the positives!
after i post the disc and names, i will hold them for 3 days. then if you let me know you want that disc, i will hold it for up to 2 weeks. if you have any opinions or questions feel free to post a reply or call me 944-2172 12-8pm
please make sure your number and name is legible. if there is more than one name on the disc, i am going to treat it as if it is blank.

I'm sure a lot of people will be happy if you're able to keep this updated, I know I will!
I've never had a problem giving a finders fee to the people willing to swim in the nasty waters we have here, I just get upset if I find my disc in the used bin without being called. I can't imagine how annoyed I'd be if I saw someone playing with one of my lost discs and then found out they bought it second hand. With this thread, you'll be giving the owners the first chance to get their disc back.
I'd suggest clearly posting this policy on your used bin along with the website so everyone knows. We get a lot of dg traffic here, but not everyone in town knows we have a "lost and found" section. I'm also assuming that this will be a store policy and we won't have to worry about one of your workers taking new arrivals straight to the used bins.
there where 38 people out at brentwood last week. 90% of them where introduced via used disc. probably half of them are now going to buy new disc. please quit the hate, its getting old

First off, it's not like I was off topic...I saw them out there(have seen them out there before, and have asked them if they would give the named ones back...they said no they are selling them to you), and bam the thread got updated. There was no hate, just facts.
But if you want to go into it. A lot of those people used club plastic. If you consider the club demo discs used, then OK I'll give you the 90%, but I do not think 90% were not bought used discs.
Besides, how is it ok for YOU to hate on certain topics(south concho design, picnic bend hole 8, "keeping you out of the loop", ect.), but I can not with something I DO NOT AGREE WITH and NEVER WILL???? And if you want to throw out precents, I'd say the majority of DGers don't like having to pay, excuse me "give a finders fee" to those that are swimming for discs for money. Don't get me wrong, I know people will come in and do it...but it's not because they like it. They just don't want to say anything to rock the boat.
I know I don't post here very often but I gotta say if someones willing to go in to get a disc that I threw in the water & I couldn't "bother myself" to go back and look for it well then I say it's theirs to keep...if they want to sell it back to me w/whatever euphamistic title they want to create and if I like the disc enough to pay....so be it...I don't expect to go to either of your biz establishments and get something for nothing & if you do something for love of the sport or for $ the end result is you get a disc back you like and/or love to throw nuff said......there are no boats to rock just discs to throw and chains to rock.......if we don't love each other and work together how will we ever beat those annoying cup stackers
You guys are too much for me! I know I don't want to pay for my disc that has been sitting in the water and thank all of you gentlemen out there that have kindly given mine back to me. Have a GREAT DAY!
I once thru my beloved putter in the lake during the herdimore and 6 months later someone just gave it back to me....I remember the scene like it happened yesterday<><><><>I was running through the meadow towards the putter and it was flying back at me.....hahahahaha but really it sat in the lake off hole 17 for 6 months then Patrick Proff gave it back to me....I like peanut butter and cookies
