Huge thanks to everyone who came out and supported this event!

This tournament couldn't have been done without all of your help. Every single time I needed something done, there was someone nearby ready to lend a hand. It is such a comfort to know that things are being taken care of so that I can devote my time to other issues. You are the reason the tournament was such a success!

Of course, I would like to extend a special thanks to: Carl and Matt for taking care of the baskets and course design. Cody for figuring payout. Debbie for running the raffle and everything else in that booth. Mark for being on top of disc sales. Alan for running the ring of fire. Jeanne for lining me out on everything that needed to be done. Heather for counting scores, running the long drive, and knowing what needed to be done before I did. :)

Now if y'all will forgive me, I've only had a few hours sleep since Friday - it's time for bed.

Great Job this weekend Mikey, as well as all the staffers. From a player side, things looked very smoothly ran, and I didn't find one person that had any complaints. To have this big of a turnout without expecting it had to be a shock, but I think the CVDGA handled it exceptionally well.

Huge Thanks to all the players that came in from out of town...some even from out of state. It was great to host you all here at our home course. Hope to see you all back next year with a few friends!

Also would like to thank all of you for the plaque that was presented to me this weekend. Very Cool of you...and pretty darn sneaky!

LONG LIVE THE CRUSH ON THE CONCHO!!

I HAD A BLAST!!!!

For all you nightglowers....one more time: WHERE'S GARY?????? ;)

Yes - as soon as they process the TD report I just sent them and make the rounds official. They'll pool the morning and afternoon rounds and rework the round ratings, I'd expect the Pro ratings to drop a bit.

To get an estimated Rec/Women/Jr round rating (for the first or second round), find someone in intermediate who shot the same on the alternate round. Looks like par on the lake from the blue boxes Sat, was an 884 rated round. The temp course was rated 905 for par from the short. Your math may vary. :)

I had a blast. Could have asked for better weather and smooth ran tourney. Enjoyed the whole weekend. I really enjoyed night glow. Coby did a great job with the paint and sailboat on the basket. Toolman thanks for the astronomy lesson and being the soberest person there. It was great. Thanks Mikey for running it and thanks to Carl and Matt for change up the alt course. It was fun. Can't wait til next year.

Did the groups playing from the LONG tees on the lake course in rd 1 play different pins than the groups playing from the LONG tees on the lake course in rd 2? Same thing with the groups from long tees on the alt course in rd 1 compared to groups from the long tees on the alt course in rd 2?

The pins on the lake course didn't get moved until after the second round, and there was no difference in pins or the course for the alt. course on Saturday.

So, good catch Jerry!!

Looks like there is a 8-10pt difference in ratings between the 1st and 2nd rounds on the lake from the reds. As well as a 8-10pt difference from the long tees on the Alt. course.

For those of you with metal CVDGA tags, did anyone get my tag after the Crush? I took off before all the tags were figured out and I don't know where mine went.

I am pretty sure Cody Newton was the one figuring out who got what tag. At least that is who was working on it when I left to go get my baskets, once I got back most everyone was gone and Heather told me Jeanne had my tags.

Someone's gotta have it. If nothing comes up by tomorrow morning, I'll ask about it in the weekly update.

Jason, you have JC's plastic tag. It's #4. I gave it to you after they passed the tags out.
