Ok the 7th Annual West Texas Doubles info has been mostly set. Here is the info that is ready to be passed along.
Date: September 18-19, 2010
Registration/Check-in will be at Picnic Bend 8:15-9am
Players meeting 9:15
Player packs only to those that pre-register....meaning day of signups will be allowed, but will not receive player packages. We will be using www.dynamicdiscs.com for online signups, that should be up in the next week or so. Or you can snail mail your registration forms in (registration forms are downloadable HERE).
(this is per team) Open - $70 Adv. - $60 Inter. - $50 Mixed - $50 Novice - $40
Ace Pot: $5.00
Couple of things the club is trying to make clear after some people got upset with a decisions that was made the day of about one individual that drove in from DFW to play without a partner(thought he would be able to pick one up there, but there were no singles left)
1. You must have a partner to play in the event, no calis this year.
2. Also there will be no replacement players allowed. If something comes up and your partner can not finish you will have to be DQed.

In order to receive a players pack you must be pre-registered by Sept 12th. Also the Ace Pot is $5 per player. We should have everything ready to go for pre-registration by the end of this week or beginning of next. This is going to be a lot of FUN!!!
I think JC/BC is going to have to claim its spot at the top again this year. And no, that does not mean we won last year, or even the year before that. i got on DD and they dont have the WTD posted for up coming tournaments.
I have contacted them on this and they are working on it. I know they sent me a link and it took me to our info but if you don't have the link you can't get there. They should have us under the Tournaments today.
Ok, so we are a little over a month out on this year's West Texas Doubles....and it's time to see if there is anyone out there willing to sponsor, or look for sponsors for this event.
$50 get your name/logo on the shirt...which shows you or your business support local disc golf PAYOUTS! If we can get just 5 sponsors that would add $250 directly into the payout/player packs!
Cortese Flag & Silkscreen was the ONLY sponsor last year...let's see if we can do a little better this year!

Just started a thread for this on the PDGA tourney board. If any of you PDGA members could go post on there as we lead up to the tourney to keep it on top, that would be helpful to keep it fresh in people's minds.
So any partners lined up out there yet? If so, who and what divisions?

This is the last CVDGA even of the year and really helps fund the Crush, so the more we can bring in as far as sponsorship money: only helps "our" payout for other things as well as this one.

Okay Guys and Gals it is time for the registrations to start coming in. If you know you are playing go ahead and get signed up, please don't wait until the last minute. Trophies this year are once again from Disc Diva, we got CTP's for each division for each course and they are good CTP prizes, and for the first time this year for the doubles we will have stamped discs as well, so don't miss out. This is actually one of the funnest tourney's (I think) you can play in! If I need to come out to the minis on Wed to get your team signed up please let me know, or you can go online to Dynamic Discs and it is only a $3 fee per team, not player, or print out an entry form on this site and drop in the mail to me.
I just got confirmation that we have gotten our second sponsor for the W.T Doubles 2010. Big thanks to Penny and Junior for supporting the CVDGA! I'll keep this list updated as sponsors come in.

Just got the stamped discs in from Discraft, THEY LOOK AMAZING!!!! especially the flydye buzzz and flicks, and crystal-Z Stalkers and Avengers SS's. This stamp maybe the best one we've done yet!
