It truely is amazing...and with it only be 1 at a time it almost seems like it maybe someone just being "mean" rather than stealing the rope. Otherwise why not steal all of it at one time, unless they just know where it is when they need more? :-/

At first I thought putting an actual hand rail across the top was "not worth it"...that is unti I saw that guy fall into the ropes get all twisted up and they actually held him from falling in the water. So yeah I think adding a hand rail is a good idea.(also think we should under brace the bridge itself at some point...just to be on the safe side)

But we are still going to need something strung under it to keep people from falling in. Guess we could also buy some of that thin chain, drill out the holes a little bigger and run it across with locks at the end.

Since we already have the holes drilled, I have access to 1/4" strand with wraps and a hoist...I could replace all the rope with metal strand!!! Just a suggestion!!!

Drove by Picnic bend this morning and noticed the low hanging limb on the right side of the mesquite tree on hole 9 had broken off.

Man I can't believe I leave town for 2 days and you guys let the bridge get torn all to hell!!!!! hehe...

WOW, those pictures are CRAZY! I went down there this morning to look at things. Can't believe the side we thought would break lose is the one that held and the one we thought wouldn't is the one that did.

Guess we need to for sure anchor those post on the teebox side much deeper next time. But really with that kind of rain, I don't see much else we could have done.

See, if you would have stayed in town, you could have gone down to he river when it was raining and held the bridge in place. Some help you were.

Ok the date has been set for getting the bridge @ Pic- Nic back in place. We are going to move it this Sunday the 28th and meet at 8:30 am. If you play Disc Golf please come out, we really need your help! If anyone has some waiters or water boots please bring them. We also need Chain Saws, String Trimmers, Shovels, Chains, Ropes, Etc... If any one has cordless saws and or drills please bring what you have. The bridge is heavy but we have a few ideas and will need plenty of help to get it moved.

Thanks, Curt

So sorry I won't b able to make it. My wife's great granddads celebration thingy is sat nite and I won't b back til sun evening. I don't have any more 8' bolts, but I can get the strand and other mat needed for the rails and install it myself sun evening. Good luck to all who come out,and I hope it's more than 4. Would be a great time for those who haven't had the chance to help, to show their support and come out to help on this very pains taken project!

The Bridge is back in place and ready for that strand wire! Big Thanks to Sean for bringing in the BIG GUN. We would not have finished in 3 hours without you! Thank You Coby for bringing your Generator and Saw. I know that's alot to get gathered up and put up. Thank you Coby and Jason for taking time out of your day to gather up materials.
Thanks to everyone that showed up to help. It's nice to see people that care come together to get a job done.

Yes indeed...BIG THANKS to Sean for bringing in "THE BIG GUN!" That was a back saver for sure! Also thanks to Rudy, Pete, Tanner, Carl, Coby, Mikey, and Cookie for being there to help!

Won't say we won't be doing it again at some point(Who knows we may get 7" inches next time)....but I think it will with stand more this time than last.

Patty, did the cables get put on?

7 inches of rain would be great, just span it out over a few days, not a few hours!
