Well we went to play Wilco, but it was raining friday when we got there. So we went and played a 9 hole private course called Arrowhead Park. Pretty fun, other than the 25+mph winds and 40 degree temps. Shot +2 both times, but you could easliy shoot under without the super wind blowing in off the lake.
Next time we'll hit up the Highland Lake Course and Wilco(hopefully)
Man I wouldn't, unless you are going to play the other course in Lago. When I talked to Jeanne's cousin, he said it was waaaaaaaaaay better. Can't remember the name of it right now though.
Arrowhead was short, and pretty easy. It was fun to play while killing some time during the vist to the in-laws, and I'd play it again, but I wouldn't make a special trip there to do it.

Then I have to question your love for the sport, sir......
In my day we had to walk 30 miles up hill in a blizzard to even get to the course to play and then another 30 miles up hill in the blistering heat on the way home... why when we played we couldnt wait for the walk home because it made us feel like we EARNED the right to play disc golf...
Well went back to Lago this weekend for Jeanne's Grandmother's 80th B-day party. After it was over we went over and played Brushy Creek. Fun course to play, has some pretty tight stuff, some blind holes, some open 400'ish, and some more tight stuff. Good mix of play, but the teeboxes are horrible. Much like a lot of courses in the Austin area. Ended up shooting 5 down if you play it by all par 3s, 7 down if you play the 2 par 4s as such. You maybe asking yourself how did Jason shoot 7 down on a course...WELL, I HIT ACE #3 while I was there. Hole 2, about 260', tight side to side with trees, and a 5' or so mound about 15-20' in front of the basket. Threw a low thumber it hit the mound skipped up and hit the chains. I thought it had bounced out because you couldn't see anything but the top 1/3 of the chians. As we walked up to it, I noticed a disc already in the basket...HELL YEAH, IT'S IN THE HOLE.....IT'S IN THE HOLE!!!
So Ace #3 Brushy Creek, hole 2, 3-28-09...just a little over a month since the last one. I've hit 3 baskets in that time...finally one stuck! WHOOHOOO!!!!
Also went back to Arrow Head this morning. Much better conditions that the first time around. Shot -1 after the first 9, even after 18. Should have shot better, but I was kind of hurring to try and get home. I did notice it looks like there are 2 sets of teeboxes now, but I didn't know where they all were. So I just played the 9 twice. Fun course if your in the Lago Vista area.
