Update 3-2-10
Weekly update day and we’ve got a several things to go over this week. We’ve got a new mini schedule starting this week, the Crush is quickly approaching the time to sign up is now, and we’ve got some thanks to give out to the several people that turned out for the work day this past weekend.
Let’s start with the thanks this week. I would like to personally thank all the people that showed up to this past Saturday’s work day. If it wasn’t for these dedicated people disc golf wouldn’t be what it is in San Angelo. As with most clubs or organizations: it’s usually the few doing the work of many. Some where there longer than others, some helped more than others…but all in all several people showed up to help and no matter how small or big the job they did was, it was all necessary. So if you didn’t show up to help Saturday be sure to THANK the ones that did, as they are the ones keeping the disc golf courses in San Angelo clean, and in the best shape they can be in. If I miss anyone I am really sorry, but here are the names I can remember helping out last weekend: JC, Matt Harris, Mark M., Danny D., Robert, Mikey, Carl, Patty, Sean, Micah, Nick, Brandn, Jason, Tammy, and Coby. This could be the biggest group to turn out to a work day, so thank to everyone that pitched in and made it happen!! Let it snow…let it snow…let it snow!!!! Wow, what is this the second snowday of the winter for us? Global warming…HA!!! Anyway it’s snowy weekly update day today. This week we’ve got 2 minis, but if you are at one of them….shame on you cause we’ve also got a work day at the lake Saturday. Crush sponsor gathering time is almost over, it’s time to start getting those in as the deadline for turn in is Mach 1st. Other these few things there’s not a lot going on this week. Update 2-16-10
Tuesday is here once again which means weekly update time for this week. We’ve got a busy week of minis happening this week with 3 chances to make one. The ladies will be having their mini Saturday as well. Plus it’s time to start getting sponsors for the crush as well as time for people to start thinking about signing up to avoid the $10 late registration fee. We’ve also got a work day coming up that people who are into helping the club need to schedule in their to-do things. Crush Sponsors Needed
For those of you looking to help out with gathering sponsors for the Crush….which I hope there are several of you. Here are some items you might print out to take with you as you do your hunting.
Sponsors are a huge part of making this tourney as successful as it has been the last few years, and a huge part of that success goes to the people who have done the sponsor hunting over the years.
If you know someone who might be interested please do your best to get them on board and help the 2010 version of the Crush on the Concho be the best it can be.
