 6-6-12 Weekly update time of the week….a day later! This week we have a scheduled Wednesday mini and really that is it, I mean other than it is Ménage A Trois week! Both Saturday and Sunday’s mini are off the schedule this week due to the Menage. Speaking of the Menage, are you signed up yet? If your answer is no, it’s not to late to get in…just to late to get a player pack. Signups can be done in person with either myself, JC, and even at the mini tonight. Other things coming up: Abilene has a couple of tourneys coming up starting next Saturday, June 16th, then the following week is the 9th Annual Wild Hair on June 23-24. After that it will be time to start looking for the 5th Annual LightHouse on the Plains on June 30th and July 1st. Before the weekly update I’d like to once again thank Jack for going out last week and mowing fairways at North Concho again. You are a HUGE help to the CVDGA and hopefully everyone will let you know next time they see you just how much we do appreciate it!!!

Ménage A Trois
Well it is here, the 4th tourney of the year for the CVDGA…the one and only Menage A Trois. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, this is probably my favorite tourney of the year. I just love TEAM disc golf. Are you signed up? Have you ever tried Team disc golf? If the answer is no to either of these questions, you are missing out! But it’s not to late for you, signups are still on going for this weekend’s tourney so it’s not to late for you to experience team disc golf in your own back yard…and who knows with the rumors of Texas Teams circulating…this may just be your only chance at team disc golf this year!
Date of Event- June 9th & 10th
Players Meeting @ 8:33 @ Picnic Bend Disc Golf Course
There will be 2 divisions (both competing for their own revolving trophy) Plus individual medals for each player on the 1st and 2nd place teams.
Divisions: Pro and Advanced
Suggested Team make up:
Pro – 1 pro, 1 advanced, 1 intermediate
Advanced – 1 advanced, 1 intermediate, 1 recreational
Teams consist of 3 players ranked 1-3
Cost - $99 per team (Optional ace pot $5 per player)
Payout – 1st and 2nd in each division will receive individual medals. First in each division will have their individual and team name etched in history on the Ménage à trois Cup*. The Trophies go on display at Cortese Flag & Silkscreen for the year so everyone can see just who the Champions of the Ménage A Trois are. Plus bragging rights for a year! There will also be CTP prizes and an optional ace pot.
