Weekly update time once again. This week we’ve got an area tourney, a Saturday mini, and the return of Sunday doubles….at least for the time being. Plus the women’s mini is back and they are practicing up for the Crush this week. Speaking of the Crush it’s going to be here before we know it, which means sponsor hunting time.
Before we get to this week’s action: Last weekend several CVDGAer’s headed up to Lewisville for the one day winter warm up event put on by DD. Players from here that attended were: Nick, Eric, Carl, Patty, Brandn, Micah, Juice, and Tammy. Out of those three finished in the payout in the advanced division: Brandn tied for last cash at 20th place, Micah tied with 4 others for 13th place, and the big winner of the weekend was Patty who took 1st place in Advanced. Congrats on the win Patty!
MINIS

Sunday: With the football season over it’s time to “kick off” the Sunday random doubles. That means it goes back to a club mini: $5 to play with the option of a $1 ace pot that will not be thrown off any more, but will carry over to start building up the Ace Pot at Middle Concho. Crush Sponsors needed
It’s once again time for all CVDGA members to help this year’s Crush on the Concho. We need as many people as possible to go out and help find sponsors for the event. Whether it’s your boss, your friend, or just random places you go into….please, please hit them up for sponsorships for the Crush. It’s not a lot of money for most businesses to do, so you’ll probably be surprised how easy it is.
We have 2 levels of sponsorship this year:
Level 1 is a $50 donation and gets the business name/logo on all the player pack T-shirts. These go out to 100 players and puts the business name in front of a lot of people from all over the state of Texas.
Level 2 is a $100 donation. This gets your name on the T-shirts as well as gets you a Teesign. These will be spread all over the course and will put the business name right in the face of every single player at the event.
Due date for the Sponsorships is March 1st.
(if you are getting a logo, please make sure it’s fairly clean artwork. No tiny pixilated images pulled off the internet please)
Think that should cover us for this week….hope to see you at the park!!!!
