News Item: Update 11-1-11

Tuesday is here and I’m actually putting out the weekly update on the right day this week. We’ve got a couple of things to go over this week. First is the new mini schedule that starts this month, and the 1st mini is this Wednesday. The second thing is a little tourney that has popped up on the radar in Abilene in a couple of weeks. Also it’s about time for people to start thinking about running for a board position in January. Other than that, it’s just wait for Texas Teams to hurry up and get here!
MINIS
FALL/WINTER MINI SCHEDULE STARTS THIS MONTH!
Basically what that means is we are dropping the Wednesday minis to only 2 a month. Tee off will stay at 6pm.
1st Wednesday’s will be random doubles at Brentwood.
3rd Wednesday’s will be random doubles at Picnic Bend.
5th Wednesday’s will still be GET RIPTED WEDNESDAY (which we have one this month!!!)
Saturday minis will stay the same at South Concho: alternating between singles and doubles with a teetime of 10am
Sunday’s, which have already changed, will stay Skins Matches thorugh the Football Season. 2pm teetime.
ABILENE TOURNEY
Don’t have a ton of info on this as I just go a text from Alan with the info I do have….but thought I’d stick it in this week’s update and try to get more info before next week’s update.
Date: November 12th
4 coureses…..1 DAY!
$15 with an optional $5 ace pot.
7:30am day of signups at Will Hair Park.

CVDGA BOARD MEMBERS
While it’s still a couple months away it’s time to start thinking about if it’s your time to run for a club board member position. While I am not sure who all is thinking of re-running, it wouldn’t hurt having some actually run-offs. So start thinking about it and when the time comes to put your name in the hat you’ll know if you are ready or not.
Think that should cover us for this week….we’ll see you at the park!
